Without Suffering There Would Be No Compassion

A Quote from one of my favorite movies “A Walk To Remember”

Jamie: Without suffering there would be no compassion.

I love this saying because it shows us another perspective outlook on why do people suffer. The age old question has always been why, why do good people die and why do people suffer? Instead of focusing on the negative, the positive side of things is that without suffering there would be no compassion.

It’s not to stay that we are not compassionate people and that people must suffer in order to show compassion, suffering is just another gateway for people to show their true selves and show that care. Not everyone may be willing to be compassionate but for the ones that are are truly great people.

Haiti Earthquake 2010
On January 12th 2010, a catastrophic 7 Earthquake occurred in Haiti causing tremendous damage and casualties. This was a horrific event that just recently occurred. There was an estimate of 3 million that had been affected by this Earthquake.

It has been a tragedy indeed but all is not lost. It seems in the bleakest of times that humanity can show the greatest of compassion. People all around the world has come together to give support to Haiti and more and more everyday is chipping in.

We may not know why the higher powers have made this happen on Earth but we should not be angry or resentful for this horrific event. Lets focus on recovering and supporting the greater good of the people and helping them out as much as possible.

As bold as it may seem, we can’t look past that there can be good brought forth from this event as with anything there is always a silver lining in the clouds.

With every difficulty, suffering and obstacles there will always be the complete opposite of positive outlook in the mist of everything, you just have to look for it.
